Nanohana News

Chiba Prefecture publishes a bi-weekly English language e-mail newsletter ("mail magazine" in katakana English), containing information on local events and destinations, updates in prefectural policies, and other useful news and information for international residents (and people living abroad who are interested in keeping up-to-date in happenings in Chiba). In addition to sharing information, the prefecture also hopes that the newsletter will provide opportunities to build and strengthen networks among international and Japanese residents in the community.

If you have questions about daily life, legal or social problems, workplace rules, international exchange, etc., the Chiba International Center offers a telephone advisory service to answer your questions, or consult a specialist for you. Japan Life Guide Smartphone app (by CLAIR)

CLAIR has released a free app with tons of information in 13 different languages to help foreign residents living in Japan. It covers topics like marriage, emergency care, residence status, etc. that you can always carry with you. The app also has an emergency warning system that notifies users in their language any time an earthquake over seismic intensity 5 occurs in Japan. Search for "Japan Life Guide" in the iTunes store or on Google Play to download.
